Construction
Below the waterline is solid fiberglass with Kevlar reinforced stem and stern bottom areas and Vinyl Ester resins used in the first two (2) laminates. A combination of Knyx, mat and Airex is used above the waterline for added resiliency as well as improved sound and thermal insulation. The superstructure includes Knytex combined with end-grained balsa and/or Divinycell coring and surface mats (to reduce print-through). Cook gelcoat is used on the superstructure. The aft and side decks are track, and the foredeck and boat deck is finished with GripTex non-skid. Freeman water-tight doors and GEBO windows have been used throughout the vessel.
